Mission
Women Making A Difference, Inc.SM is a nonprofit corporation that was developed principally:

• To provide women with information, tools, and strategies designed to empower them and foster greater economic development opportunities and professional growth;
  
  
• To support community-based organizations, emerging organizations and the general public by providing services, products and/or assistance to children, women, seniors and families through information, education, administrative, program development and financial assistance;
  
  
• To support the arts, culture and educational programs and initiatives through information, education, administrative, program development and financial assistance;
  

• To support and further activities, programs, outreach and charitable efforts of nonprofit organizations through information, education, administrative, program development, financial assistance, and/or product distribution.
  

Partnerships
For more than seven years, WMAD, Inc. has forged partnerships with corporations, small businesses, grassroots community organizations and individuals to raise the needed funds required to assist communities as they seek to improve and advance their own missions.

Community Programs
Through its core programs, WMAD, Inc. has consistently supported hundreds of organizations each year with their programs and activities that serve the Philadelphia community. One example of the initiatives of WMAD, Inc is the Annual Warmth In Winter Holiday Program, which collects new hats, mittens, gloves and scarves for children 0-12 that reside in shelters and transitional housing.

Enrichment Programs
The Annual Women Making A Difference, Inc.SM Conference and Awards Luncheon, presents workshops that provide inspiration and tangible tools that assist women in reaching their goals. WMAD, Inc. also recognizes women for their extraordinary professional accomplishments, as well as their significant contributions to the community. Simultaneously, the program raises funds to support the initiatives of nonprofit organizations that meet the mission of WMAD, Inc. Through planned programs that include entrepreneurial and leadership forums, WMAD, Inc. intends to address the growing desire for women to acquire and develop skills that will ultimately take them to the next level of professional development.

The Young Women Making A Difference Scholarship Program recognizes the young leaders of today who donate their time to their community, and have demonstrated strong academic achievements.
